Good day, lovelies! As promised today I will talk about the most interesting topic there is - work. It's the first and probably the last time I say it, but working is the most exciting activity I've participated in lately. No kidding. Work here is fun, interesting, varied, surprising - it’s never the same in Die Bäckerei.

My work consists of several different tasks.

Let’s begin with CUBIC, the amazing organisation that is hosting me. First off, I am so thankful that they provided me with this wonderful chance to be here. So, three times a week I work in the office of CUBIC. One of my tasks is to write on different topics on agenda. For example now I‘m writing about sustainability, which is important and also interesting stuff. The posts will be uploaded on the Facebook page of CUBIC, I will leave the link. In the office I also help with some smaller things, like booking flights, research, and sometimes I can talk to potential volunteers about my previous experience in England, which I really like.

Secondly, I am very happy to work with Die Bäckerei - a lovely culture center in Innsbruck. It's actually an old bakery house, really artistic and rather hipster place. In Die Bäckerei I‘ve got a marvellous chance to improve my skills in so many fields. I help them with the amazing events they organise. Sometimes I get to take photos at events, I love to use a good camera and now, instead of just putting the camera on automatic mode, I get a chance to learn more about taking pictures. I can also learn about everything that’s going on behind the stage before a concert - how to set up the mic and rest of the technological side of an event. Working with Die Bäckerei really sounds like a dream, huh? They host super cool open mics, poetry slams, and all kinds of interesting events like philosophy cafe, an event called „cognac and biscuits“. Sounds amaziiing, right.

Last, but not least, I work with Feld Verein - an organisation that does catering with wasted food. The food comes from farmers and supermarkets that would throw the food away by their norms. In my opinion, this is something really cool. With them I prepare the Mittagstisch on Tuesdays

In conclusion, I am very happy with all the tasks at my work. Everybody who I work with is super nice and I don’t feel like the tasks are too hard. I don't think of them as something I HAVE to do, it‘s something I LOVE to do. 😊
